This was originally set up for members of the Computer Arts magazine forum who became rather disillusioned by the bureaucracy & bias of the magazine (FYI - the old Computer Arts forum was very neglected over the past 2-3 years and has finally been deleted)
So, we set up Citizen Art.
I keep mean to mention this and offer an invitation to anyone who might like to join.
It’s mainly aimed towards online creativity but all are welcome.
You can post work, get proper critique from your peers, ask questions, chat, whetever you like.

My Leon poster was (as the title suggests, which is also an obscure link ; ) featured on the CreativeBloq ‘Design Spring’ iPad app and on the CreativeBloq website. I’m always very happy when my work is appreciated by others, so thanks very much. : )

Do you know, I sometimes get annoyed by the ‘Olly Moss Hysteric Syndrome’ (previously called the ‘Rolling Stones Syndrome’: when a certain level is reached, people with go mad over anything you do, no matter how good / bad it is. Way too much hype IMHO. This isn’t Olly’s fault BTW (or the Rolling Stones) But not everything they does is great. How could it be? (once again, IMHO - I’m just jealous that it’s not me ; )
However, this ‘doodle’ he recently posted reminds me just how talented he is. Minimalism at it’s greatest.
As far as I know, it’s individually scanned ink brush strokes, edited in Photoshop. Wonderful.
My hat is doffed in Olly’s direction.

I’ve just had some of my posters printed. I was very happy with the way they came out (although my photos could be better : $ )
Especially the Star Wars trilogy set, which were produced at A2.
After much deliberation, I’ve decided to open an Etsy shop for my posters (as well as other stuff)

Caravaggio’esque- Photomanipulation by ~3ftDeep
A quick photomanipulation in a Caravaggio/Vemeer (ish) style
I came across the original photo by AimeeStock on deviantart ( [link]) whilst looking at something else.
It really lends itself to a classical / renaissance style painting, so I altered it a bit.
It has a lovely light (the original) which is what drew me to it, rather than the actual subject matter or reference, which has no appeal for me at all really (if I’m honest)
I did removed the radiator though ; )
I don’t ever really do photomanipulations like this. Purely a quick bit of fun really.

This was the original poster I produced. It’s based on the Speak & Spell console colors. I desaturated it & messed around to make version 1 but, upon looking at this again, I kind of like the colors.
So, I thought I’d share it with you so you can decide : )
